Rental prices usually range between CAD 500 and CAD 900 per month, depending on the province, the city, the location and the standard of the accommodation. Housing costs vary across Canada.

Yes. You may travel with your spouse and children. The employer provides accommodation only for the employee. If you travel with your family, you will usually need to arrange separate accommodation. Depending on your situation: • Your spouse may qualify for the appropriate immigration status. • Your children may receive Visitor Records or Study Permits, depending on Canadian immigration regulations. Children living in Canada with the appropriate status may attend public elementary and secondary schools free of charge.

Canada has a publicly funded healthcare system. Workers who qualify under provincial health insurance programs receive medically necessary healthcare at no direct cost. Coverage begins according to the rules of the province where you live — in some provinces there may be a waiting period before coverage starts. Once enrolled, you will generally have access to a family doctor, hospitals, emergency care, specialist referrals and other insured medical services covered by the provincial health plan.
